Child wants to study abroad

Darling Daughter 14 has dropped the bombshell that she wants to study abroad at the moment we are still looking into this so not sure if we are looking at a term or a year. Trying to work out the financing for this as it is an amazing opportunity.
Currently we get both Child benefit and child tax credits. I was working until recently but now caring for my husband who is going through cancer treatment.
I don't know if the other benefits we receive will have an impact but i thought i would list them as it may help.
Hubby gets high rate DLA (care & mobility), Contributions based ESA (support group)
I get Income support and carers allowance.
Will the child benefit and tax credits stop if she goes abroad? we will remain in the UK and she will be coming home.
Does it make a difference whether she goes within the EU or outside?
She has her hopes built up and if this is something we can do for her we would
Just to clarify this is for high school studies so would be in before she turns 16

Will someone else be paying her school fees, board and travel fees, as you say you are on income support, indicating low income ?0

I don't know the answer and I'm sure someone will be able to give you the correct info, but from this LINK...
' If the child goes abroad but you stay in Great Britain, you can usually only get Child Benefit for up to 12 weeks. You can continue to get Child Benefit for more than 12 weeks if the only reason the child has gone abroad is to:
- Receive full-time education in an EEA country or
- Take part in an educational exchange or visit with the written approval of the school or college they normally attend or
- Receive medical treatment for an illness, which began before the child left Great Britain.
We use full-time education to mean 12 hours or more supervised study a week at a school or college, up to A level or GNVQ level 3.'

the state will provide what your child NEEDS.
it is up to you to provide what your child WANTS.
she's 14 and yet you are trying to make provision for at least 2 years in the future.
post brexit, who knows what the situation may be?
hopefully your OOH will have recovered and returned to work.
then it is your choice what you can or cannot afford0 -

I read it as wanting to study abroad before 16? Though admittedly the last sentence has some typo or autocorrect and it doesn't actually make any sense... could go either way...0 -

You have a child who lives abroad
You may also be able to get Child Tax Credit if you have a child and:
you work in the UK
you have a right to reside in the UK
you pay National Insurance contributions here
your child lives in a country in the European Economic Area (EEA) or in Switzerland with your partner or someone else - and depends on you to support them
You usually can’t claim for a child who lives outside the EEA or Switzerland. There’s an exception if your partner is a Crown servant posted abroad.0 -
well thank you to those who have given advice and to those think i am looking at a "cash cow" get a life and move on!!
It will hopefully be an exchange visit but she will still need to be fed and clothed whilst she is away.
I am new being on benefits having worked full time all my life up until 5 months ago when looking after my ill husband became the priority and no I don't intend to be on benefits for ever and will return to work hopefully by the end of this year. The only reason I mentioned these was because she may do this before i get back into work.0 -
