Advice needed please
I took out an IVA mid 2012 two years in we put forward a full and final offer which was accepted, the cert of completion was issued in Dec 2014, we are now considering selling our house which has some equity (didn't have any back then) now im sure I recall the house being put under some embago so we couldn't sell it during the IVA, now that we have completed, will that automatically be lifted and will the creditors be able to claim any of the equity?
thanks

Hi,
Once you have your certificate of completion you are released from all your obligations.
During your IVA, your IP will of had a restriction registered over the property at the land registry, that should of been withdrawn when your IVA finished.
You may need to check the land registry about this.
The only exception to that is if you have signed any papers to do with PPI remaining (seperate issue).

The 'embago' you refer to (restrictions requiring notification to your IP if selling) should have been lifted by your IVA company when you completed. Mine was. You could always send them an email to check it out, but it's part of their normal process as part of completion as sourcrates says0
