She's now almost fully grown (almost 10 months old) and she still sits in the footwell at my feet (I'm the passenger btw). She fits in fine (Staffie) when the seat is pushed right back, but is this a bad place for her to be?
i think the law says all dogs have to be secure in a car, but probably not on a motorbike :rolleyes:0 -
I'm not aware of any law that says dog's must be secure. AFAIK it just comes under generic safety laws that they shouldn't be a distraction or a danger.
Pollyanna24, it's not a safe place for her to be, if you go into the back of the car in front the footwell could be crushed. If you go to http://www.euroncap.com you can look the model of your car up and see how good the protection is for a passenger's legs. But bear in mind that having something else in the footwell leaves less room for the passenger's legs too. When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.0 -

Gosh, I'll have to look that up. Obv everyone always prays they don't crash but still...
I'm short, so always plenty of room for me legs and little doggie in footwell. :rotfl:Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
