Morning all, we bought a couch for our new home 14 months ago. We were talked into the easy glide feet for easy movement of furniture and also for the aftercare kit that apparently included one complimentary visit to clean your couch when you required it.
You won't be surprised to hear when I enquiried about this the woman on the line said that this wasn't part of the aftercare I paid for and told me to email the branch manager and tell them I was mis-sold the aftercare.
Has anyone else had this same experience and took it further? I am wanting to email them but not sure how to word it! Also, the easy glides just fall off when you move the couch, pretty sure they weren't entirely cheap either, maybe worth a complaint as well!
Any help appreciated.

What paperwork do you have regarding the aftercare kit, how much did it cost?0

I've not had a chance to dig it out. It was around £150, thinking back I reckon it was only the information pamphlet I received for the aftercare.0

Your first step is to dig out all the information you have.Awilliams1 wrote: »I've not had a chance to dig it out. It was around £150, thinking back I reckon it was only the information pamphlet I received for the aftercare.
You need to find something in writing that confirms the complimentary clean.
Otherwise you will struggle with DFS saying they never said that.0 -
I've just purchased a sofa from DFS with the 5 year sofacare plan, that was £155 so may be what you are talking about?
It says on the leaflet that you are covered for accidental stains and accidental damage but NOT for general cleaning, which seems to be what you want. If the salesman told you that this was covered then I would imagine that you would have a problem proving that.
I didn't let them talk me into the Eaziglide, the pads they stick on to the furniture feet were very expensive for something you can get from B&Q for a fraction of the cost.

It's going to be a very he said she said scenario trying to prove it. Do you have a fabric suite? I know as part of the aftercare they say "These can only be cleaned by a professional" due to the fire retardant on the cushions.0
