CPM Penalty Ticket Assistance Required

Options
I would really appreciate the advice of members on MSE.

I was recently issued with a ticket for parking in my parking space at our newly acquired property.

I appealed the ticket on the basis that it is my designated parking space and CPM failed to provide me with a permit, I parked from the 13th September to 7th November with no issue.

The appeal was rejected by both CPM and their appointed appeals company.

Our property is a leasehold, I have contacted the land owner who has told me that because I have appealed it, they are unable to assist. They have tried.

Having read through some of the other threads on MSE it appears to be a case of ignoring them, is this the right thing to do?

The invoice started at £60 and is now £100, the most recent letter from CPM threatens a charge of £149.

I am a little worried about it, I just cant seem to justify paying to park in my own space.

They have given me an opportunity to clarify if I was the designated driver when the invoice was issued.

I would be grateful for your opinion on the matter.

Now both appeals have failed you are in the debt collectors stage. You can ignore everything from a debt collector.

But if the ppc moves to Court action then come back for current advice on your defence at the time.

Don't engage with the ppc regarding who was driving!!

    Hey Quentin,

    Thank you for your input.

I fear that I may have confirmed I was the designated driver when appealing to the IAS, you cant appeal unless you say that I was the designated driver.

CPM have given me the chance to tell them I wasn't the driver, should I send a letter indicating that I wasn't the driver and say nothing more?

    Appreciate your time.
  • OK , did your lease state that the land was "infested" and does it state a permit must be displayed ? , not bothered about CPM graffiti , its your lease that matters

Not much point at this stage. (If you weren't the driver why did you say you were?)

    Hey twhitehousescat,

I've requested a copy of the lease from my solicitor and will let you know ASAP.

    Thank you for your response!

  • yup , lease rules , lots of cases shown at parking pransters website , immefiate action is to tell landowner that you want your car putting on a "whitelist" othwise you will get lots more confetti when they badly photo your car with the permit under photographers finger

They wouldn't allow me to appeal the case to the IAS if I didn't report I was the driver.

Sadly at the time I wasn't wise to this scam and was under the illusion that if I it is my designated parking space, how is anyone at a financial loss for me parking there...other than myself, it's crazy.
  • shows you how sham the ex clampers are and the "micky mouse" adjudication

you do not need or want them trespassing on your designated parking space

OK, I have wrote an email to the guy representing the land owner asking him to clarify a few things for me, more to highlight the stupidity of being charged to park in your own space more than anything.

I will request for my car to be whitelisted to avoid any interaction with the wonderful CPM.

Is it OK to contact you again once Ive taken look at the lease?

Thank you for your advice Quentin.

Im going to take a look at the lease and if I understand correctly sit tight through the occasional debt collection letter.
