No tariff ending notification letter?
It might just be another energy supplier mess somewhere which is something I'm used to. It took British Gas ages to get me onboard so might be the reason I haven't yet received the letter I was due 42-49 days before my tariff ended.
I believed that's an OFGEM rule I should have had that and I think it's 41 days now.
Should I raise a complaint as although I am aware surely I should have had this formal letter by now and have already missed a good tariff as a result...

If it is less 42 days to go to the end of your fixed term, then you can switch without fear of exit fees. The supplier has breached a Standard Licence Condition.
.Prohibition on termination fees for non compliance
22C.6 Where the licensee fails to comply with paragraphs 22C.2 to 22C.5 and extends the duration of an existing Fixed Term Supply Contract for a further fixed term period, the licensee may not charge or otherwise seek to enforce a Termination Fee in respect of that Domestic Supply Contract.
To avoid an argument, I would raise a complaint but check your spam filter first. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Thanks Hengus, just checked through my spam e-mails and couldn't find anything at all.0

Don't worry about complaining.
If you are sure you have the correct timing, consult a comparison site and find the best deal for you.
Whether the letter was provided or not, the supplier cannot now charge early exit fees (assuming you have the dates correct)
Edit: You may want to double check your dates if you are talking about the same BG contract you are talking about in this thread

which you indicate does not end until 28-Apr-20170 -

Apologies, should be Feb. Have corrected it now0 -
It arrived today
So that's 40 days from end of tariff I think not 42-49...
