We are so used to staying at the Premier inn North terminal and then nippiing across the road for our early a.m. flight so am wondering how others have fared now we have to go from the south terminal. In particular the valet parking at the North was so handy.

Surely you just carry on as previously and nip on the monorail to South Terminal - may add 10mins to your journey time if you're unlucky.0

The full switch is next week.
I think only the BA services to JFK and VCE have moved so far.
I can't see it making much difference. As the poster above says, it's probably an extra 10 minutes to your journey time if you still wish to park at North Terminal.0 -
Just hop on the free shuttle to take you back to the South Terminal. I have stayed in Premier Inn North terminal several times and done just that.0

The monorail across the road from the Premier Inn takes a few minutes to the south terminal, just do as you normally would.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Yes, it means 10 minutes less in bed if stopping in the Premier Inn. On the other hand it makes Gatwick more convenient if travelling by train and flying BA.
Looking forward to visiting BA's new home (and especially the new lounge) as I haven't used the South terminal in years. The North terminal has improved massively in recent years so I hope the South is the same.

If you go on the shuttle monorail listen to the commentary, courtesy of Easy Jet.....it's like having a free flight.
After we've checked-in at the Premier Inn we always go for a wander, there's usually something new to catch the eye. Sometimes we'll jump on a mainline train at South Terminal and get off one stop up the line at Horley, then go for a drink and something to eat at the Jack Fairman wetherspoons v.close to Horley train station.
Next stop is in 13 days time, pre Emirates flights to Bangkok.....not that I'm on countdown.
Southern Rail seem to have resolved their dispute with ASLEF, so hopefully the trains are back to normal0 -
