help my zannussi jetstream machine did a dance round the kitchen loud bang on final spin, jumped up switched it off to find that the rubber on the door has come away from the drum, there is a metal ring of sorts that obviously connects the two.. does anyone know if this is easy to connect back or should i just get a engineer in to fix it.. ..

It is possile to do this yourself but it means you gotta take the machine top and front off......it did in my case....................but if you don't do it properly then your gonna get worse problems and it's not easy to do...............so I'd get someone to do it for you.

yes thought that might be the case.. not afraid to get my hands dirty but dont want to cause more problems.. looks like a easy job if you know what your doing .. just hoping the drum not been moved out of alignment with all the bouncing around on the spin that disloged the rubber...Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,

If it's quite old then just get a new machine.
I had a Zanussi. It was absolute rubbish. Broke down more times then I can remember. You can get a brand new 1000 spin speed Bosch machine for a couple of hunrdred quid now a days.0 -
it can be done, its a bit of a pain.
i have replaced split ones before and its not the easiest thing to do.
but if its all that is wong its worth messing with.0 -
its only 3 years old , its just the rubber has come away from the drum a round metal thing seems to have come away and separated from the two looks like this is what kept them together.. ive had a fiddle and a poke so to speak but cant seem to get them to stay together ..might have to get engineer out but if he charges extortionate prices he will have a wasted journey. will look on the web for prices for new ones in the meantime..Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
