Just read through the thread I indicated and send the letter as if it was from your Mum. Don't sign it, just print the signature, and enclose the £1 postal order.
They cannot do anything. If they ever did go for a CCJ, as soon as you tell the court you applied for a CCA and they didn't respond, it would be thrown out.
My friend was in exactly the same situation a couple of years ago for a debt from 1992 that he had been paying £10 a month towards. As soon as the debt collection agency received his letter, they wrote back to him saying they couldn't provide any details but the debt was still owed.
He just wrote back and told them he wouldn't be paying anything more, and a month or so afterwards he received a letter from the bank saying the debt had been written off."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

Thanks. I've also got a dispute with Vodafone going on from 2002, when I moved abroad. A company bought the debt (that was in dispute for £400), and it jumped to £1200, they then put a CCJ against my name in 2013 when I was out the country living in Dubai! I'm going to send this letter to them too. Thanks again

How would I go about removing a CCJ that was applied at court without my knowledge and receiving no letter? I only fond out when I got my credit report!! I stupidly entered into an agreement last July with the debt agent of £10 a month. Should I just cancel this payment/standing order and send the CCA letter out (should I add anywhere I want the CCJ removed?)
Thanks for your help x0 -

Ah no... its a little different once the CCJ is already in place... then you need to apply to the courts - NOT to the creditor. I would potentially start a different thread for that issue though
Stops it getting muddled

I don't think CCA's apply to mobile phone contracts."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
you could apply for a set aside as you were not resident in the UK they had no right to start court action0
