How do you pay for your holiday?

This year we're having a bit of a splurge. We paid for the flights with savings then put the Thai hotel on a 0% forex fees and 0% on purchases. I then put a few hundred in a monthly saver for a year, ready to pay off the credit card before we go.0

Thanks everyone. Really interesting. I suppose it's like anything else, if you're going to put it onto credit cards then do you have a proper plan to pay them off? Looks like - at least on this forum - we're all pretty responsible about that!0

It goes on the credit card for protection purposes. Paid off at the next bill.
I would never put myself into debt for a holiday.0 -
Flights go on a credit card unless the fees are too high. Our insurance has supplier failure as standard as well. Credit card gets paid in full every month as standard via a direct debit. Accommodation payment method varies, depending on what we book and who with. No money in the bank to cover everything booked means no bookings.0
