  • Whats the story with the non processed order? Did you have a credit on your account which was used to pay for the item in dispute?
  • If you purchased the item with an amount of credit that was already in your wowcher account, you can't now turn around and say I want that turned into cash because the item is faulty.

Why do you not want the faulty item replaced?

Wowcher are refusing to refund on FAULTY goods that have been returned.... all because funds were moved to purchase it from a previous non-processed order: they are saying the amount owed to me was a "credit" purchase & not a "cash" purchase & therefore cannot be refunded: just "credited" to the wowcher account, which is not what I require at all.

So I now have £158.99 of worthless "Wowcher Credit" in a useless "Wowcher Wallet" when I do not wish to buy anything further via them & have a major fight on my hands to try & get a refund back to payment source....

My daughter has gone without a birthday present as a result - as the funds Wowcher are keeping & refusing to refund, is effectively her "birthday money" ... Congratulations Wowcher - explain that one to a 13yr old.....

Credit card used for initial purchase are saying they cannot recall the payment but they will open a dispute - which can take months to process ....

Wowcher are still refusing to budge on their refusal of a refund & have added an "expiry date" to the "Wowcher Wallet credit" of 03-04 which the funds have to be used by ... when i have no intention of buying anything from them ever again!

Have send a complaint email as instructed - but the email address given is the same as their general one .... have drafted out a letter to them & will be sending a copy of it to "watchdog".

Absolutely DISGRACEFUL company. Would not go near them with a barge pole in the future.

This was my favourite part of the thread. Are you sure there wasnt some anmals, or older people, or disabled people harmed too.

Did you buy a voucher to then buy the laptop with that voucher? Did you pay cash FOR THIS SPECIFIC ITEM or as you say did you pay with a credit on your account, I suspect the latter. As such Wowcher only have to put you back to the position you were in prior to the formation of THIS contract.

From what I can gather THIS contract consists of a request to purchase a laptop with a credit account, the contract became unwound so wowcher need to put back the credit account.
