Hi,
Think I probably already know but just in case.
Have rotten egg smell but only when I have the heater on mainly towards the windscreen. With heater off don't have any smells even if you lift the bonnet. Hardly any if heater on and pointing into car or on cold.
Car pulling and starting fine but does mainly short runarounds.
Cat likely gone?

You havent got an egg lodged in the heater matrix somehow ?
If the car drives fine and doesnt hold back or anything and no engine lights, your cat maybe fine.0 -

Sounds more like a leak/hole to me, problem is there is probably nowhere really you can go to get an honest diagnosis.
On every car i've had, the original cat has lasted the life of the vehicle, but the cheap rubbish you get at Crapfit/ Halfrauds/etc, they typically last not much more than a few years.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

If you're getting your exhaust fumes coming in through your heater, then you've got bigger problems than whether the cat's failed or not.
Far more likely is bacterial growth in the pollen filter (when was it last changed) or the air ducting. Aircon? When did you last put an antibacterial cleaner through?0 -
The smell has only come in the last 2-3 weeks. No smell on cold air being blown or dash vents AFAIK just when using windscreen heater. Not using the aircon at this point.0
