All you need to do is buy a small moisture collecting thing from the pound shop! I have a 1996 merc and I've got a wardrobe moisture collector hanging from the passenger seat!
Like this (but can get at £1 shop!) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hanging-Dehumidifier-Bags-Wardrobe-Damp-Mildew-Absorb-Moisture-Anti-Mould-/262730561077it's nice to be important but more important to be nice!! :kisses3:0 -
Thanks guys. I have air con but its never on . To be honest it does seem to happen when i had been driving for a while with the heating on and then the car is parked up. I'll try the window open for a bit trick
Thanks all
Air con takes the moisture out of the air or something to that effect, use it.
In my wife's old Jazz that i appear to be using more and more, we have a nightmare with condensation on the inside. air con on hot whilst driving to clear, with drivers window cracked open enables the moist air to escape. Once the windscreen has cleared i leave air con on but turn down temp to midway and leave drivers window open.
On dry sunny days ill crack all windows open a cm until sun starts to go down to dry out inside of car. has kept it relatively clear since.
Others may recommend sock full of kitty litter on dash (old socks, not your clean ones for the day) and the dehumidifier boxes from wilkos to help too0 -
At the risk of thread drift...
...on your Jazz misting up.
How old/which model is it? 2001-2008 Jazzs can leak. If you've got one check your spare wheel well. My 2006 daily sheddy Mcshed does, but not enough for me to bother to fix!

Try checking your pollen filter if the car has one.
If not changed, it can become a soggy mass which then spreads moisture all over the windscreen."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

exactly what the problem was on my previous car (vauxhall zafira) replaced the cabin (pollen) filter and all was well0 -

2004 1.4 DSi - have checked under the roof rails and there are no obvious cracks. The wheel well is bone dry
We had a 2003 model (until i wrote it off) and found the water in the wheel well and got it sealed up...0 -
Leaves blocking the windscreen scuttle drainage ducts, is a very common cause of interior damp, because the pollen filter gets saturated in water. This also causes heater fan squealing and eventually failure of the heater resistor.
Another cause (which i've noticed more and more recently) is failing to use your aircon correctly, like so many idiots do, turning it up and down repeatedly rather than setting it to 20, 21, 22 and letting it do it's job.

Back in the early 80s we still used to get occasional frost on the inside of our bedrooms, never mind the car!0
