weve recently moved into a house and fitted a metal curtain pole which was fine for a few weeks and now all the fittings have pulled out of the wall! ... anyway my OH has looked at them this afternoon and he says there is about 1.5 inches plaster before you hit the metal lintle (sp) .. and cant drill into it ....
so i was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas on how we can fasted our poles up without them constantly pulling away from the walls?
would be help to put a wooden batton across and then add pole or would it still all pull away ??
arrggg i need my curtains before the winter!
thanks in advance for any help !

Depending on what sort of lintel it is.....
Drill into the lintel, then use some 2" (or longer if need be) self tapping screws straight into it.
Fill the holes and paint first if its made a mess.0
