Hi, I purchased a vaporiser in Uk, paid tax on it in Uk. Took said item abroad with me to Australia which is where au am now. I wish to send the item back to Uk in the post but would rather avoid paying tax on it again as I've already paid the vat when I bought it.
Does anyone know how I can avoid paying double tax on it.
Thanks

Forgot to mention, the reason I'm sending it back is because I'm heading off to China and heard that said item will be confiscated at customs.. I will be returning to Uk after my China visit and hope for it to. E in Uk awaiting my return.
Thanks0 -
Just declare it value as $15 on customs form0

Do you have the original receipt or invoice? (Could be email).0

I do have the original receipt back home in Uk... and can probably get the company who sold it to me to send a duplicate whilst I'm out here0

OK. I'm not sure of the process, but when exporting the item from AUS and importing into the UK then there'll be some customs declaration you can make - the receipt/invoice will be your evidence of tax having already been paid. (Assuming it shows the VAT and was from a UK seller).0

Cant you claim a refund, if taxed, when you come back?Laters

Most likely. But it'd be better to avoid that hassle in the first place if possible.
