Top up ISA with Tax-exempt Investment Policy?

I have recently seen information about the tax exempt investment policy whereby i can save a further (and up to) £25 a month for at least a term of 10 years. my query is as it has to be with a friendly society, can anyone give me tips on which company to look at to save with, especially in light of the northern rock fiasco, i would like to make sure that any money invested is secure. Thanks ever so for any comments. geminipegs

What policy is this? I know of National Savings Certificates, which are tax free, but I'm not familiar with 10-year investment policies and would like to know more if you're willing to share the information!

As far as I remember they offer poor returns and not really worth considering.

This thread might give you some more info.
