1 bed flat re-wire

We've got a 1 bed flat in London and we would like a quote on bringing the wiring up to date.

We've emailed a few electricians and are waiting to hear back but what should we expect to pay?

We've got a hall, living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Overall the place is about 53 sq metres.

How long in terms of days would you see the above job lasting?

Thanks

Do you really need to rewire?

    Mice don’t use electricity ?

Rewire depends on many thing but primary are building construction, location accessibility and preferred installation e.g concrete floor walls and none surface (chased in) 5th floor will take longer/cost more than surface mount in trunking ground floor etc Also supply reinstatement daily and furniture in rooms, carpets laminate etc all add time/money.

New build ( flat ) installation, commissioning, three man days max, On refurb/rewire I’d expect least double if not triple that time, Cost really will vary as and not enough info posted but london 2k-3k but could easily be more , I’m sure you.ll get an abundance that live in stickvile that will tout how they got there three bed terrace for those prices:rotfl:
  • Thank you for this although when I read the mice bit at the top, I thought oh no not another b*llend.

I've got 3 electricians coming to quote for the job on Saturday so I'll see what happens. Thanks again!

As stated with a flat access issues could drive the price up considerably.
