twitter - if you follow a page does it notify you if they take you off their follower

I've just been looking at my twitters followers... quite a few of them i'm sure are pages i've entered comptitions on so I would have followed them but i'm not a follower they just follow me (if that makes sense)

does twitter let you know if someone has taken you off their followers? i'm just wondering if it's because I enter lots of competitions and they are trying to find winners that aren't 'compers'

probably over thinking it but wondering if anyone else had had the same.

No they do not notify them if you remove them, but if they want to check that you are following them, they can double check their following list, but they have to be looking for you.

Although there are apps out there that can notify you if someone has removed you, but I'm not sure how reliable or how well they work.

I know what you mean though, ever so often I remove my competition tweets so that I look less like a competition page but I enter so many competitions. I just hope that if I get chosen as a winner they won't disregard my account. I have won before on Twitter though, so not everyone discounts you.

I took you to mean you followed say "PC World" and you have done nothing but now you no longer show as following them?

FB "unlikes" pages with no notification I do not know if TW does the same thing.

yes thats what I mean... I tend to say things in a complicated way haha. I just thought it was maybe blogs unfollowing me due to being a comper. I will keep at it anyway nothing to lose I do use my twitter account but my tweets get lost within comp tweets
