Graphics tablet question

I have a small Wacom Bamboo tablet which I use occasionally with both my W10 pc and my Mac.

I only use it with its Pen when it switches automatically to absolute positioning. If you use your finger on it it just behaves like a larger version of a laptop trackpad. I never do that as I prefer a mouse.

However I have now taken to using two monitors so that has effectively halved the horizontal resolution of the tablet as it covers the full width both screens.

I would much prefer it to work on one screen only so that I have more accuracy with the pen. I'd be quite happy not to have the finger / trackpad function at all.

Reading the manual and Google has got me nowhere.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Put simply you can't do what you want.

How have you set it up? 2 separate panels?

I use a simple program called desktops. You can have multiple screens on one monitor. Tiled across or down or both.

That may give you the option of limiting the tablet to one screen.

    Thanks.

Yes, I need to be able to have Photoshop on my main monitor and material I am referring to displayed in another program on the second screen.

I did once resort to printing out the other stuff and turning off the second monitor just to get the full pen resolution on the remaining screen.

Obviously a much larger graphics tablet would solve the problem but they don't come cheap and I probably only absolutely need it once or twice a month! When I only use one monitor this tablet is perfectly adequate for my needs.

I will investigate the program you mention.

Unless the program that forgotmyname mentioned does the trick I fear you are right. I was hoping I was missing the blindingly obvious but I don't think I am.
