How long to wait for quotes?

Hi, just wondering how long is a reasonable time to receive a quote from a tradesman after he has been to look at the job. I don't want to be impatient and hassle them if I am not being reasonable.

It depends on what you're asking for.
Hanging new doors is going to take less time to quote than a new house
But do chase them. They'll know you're keen and you'll know if they're answering your calls. The best thing is to set a day/date for the quote to come by.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
