Are there any jobs which aren't boring, or you're aren't selling your soul for?

Seriously! I am job searching at the moment and I'm noticing a theme with a lot of min wage jobs, they're either boring as sin or you will end up selling your soul to work for the company, i.e. sales. What is it with minimum wage jobs being so tedious? I want to start a business because i am not interested in much that jobs seem to offer. Am I being ungrateful? I shouldn't complain because there's people in Africa with !!!! jobs earning crap money, but in a first world country workers shouldn't be treated like animals while earning minimum wage (which btw is a sorry excuse for a living wage)
Every low paid job out there is just so boring. I needed to rant because seriously it's ridiculous how there's no imagination put into these jobs. I'm sick of job searching. I'm trying to find ways of making money without having a lot of money to invest. I need to be creative and working for myself to keep things interesting. I am not surprised some people look like zombies in these jobs. How do you cope in your low paid job (if you have one)?

The incentives of needing to keep a roof over my head, being able to eat and and keep warm tend to have a motivating effect. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I would suggest you look for better paid jobs.
Most will still be boring and in most you will end up selling your soul to work for the company, but at least you'll get more moneyIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

I got no choice but to look for low paid work as I don't have very good qualifications/skills. A lot of the time you need 1 year experience in certain jobs. I have no problem with some jobs asking for "this" or "that" but when they want you to jump through hoops for poor money & tedious work it gets a bit silly. Maybe I am being ungrateful, but it does make me laugh at the requirements these companies want for an employee.0 -
So what have you done about furthering yourself bar moan like hell.I got no choice but to look for low paid work as I don't have very good qualifications/skills. The fact is employers can be choosey so if you want more money change yourself to make yourself more valuable.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -

What do you do for work, elsien? Have you ever thought of working for yourself? Even with that I need the money though, so it's lose/lose. A lot of the time people end up working for a !!!! company, earning poor wages, in a poor environment, surrounded by unsavory work colleagues, especially in low wage jobs. This is from experience anyway.0 -

Haha
I am moaning, I know. I just find it unacceptable how employers/businesses treat employees, offering poor money for a lot of tedious work. I just find the wages on offer for this type of work is not right at all. I get what you're saying, but there isn't a whole lot I can do as I don't want to work for someone for the rest of my life, or even for the next few years.
I don't know what kind of job I would enjoy. I find many jobs tedious tbh. Unless I want to work in some specialised field, investing money into gaining more useless qualifications is illogical. I would be getting qualifications with no real end goal in mind, only knowing that I want to eventually become self employed. What qualifications would you suggest for general usefulness?0 -
Maths and English GCSE at grade C or above, or equivalent. I know they're about to change the grading system, again ...Signature removed for peace of mind0

None really - apart from the obvious stuff like basic numeracy and literacy. You really need to have a think about what you'd like to do, then work towards getting some qualifications that will allow you to enter that field.
Maybe a browse through this site may give you some inspiration ? https://www.prospects.ac.uk/job-profiles/0 -
If you're not willing to invest in yourself then you can hardly expect others to.Haha

So you dont have any ideas on what you would enjoy and find every job tedious?
Youve said yourself you have no skills. But want to become self employed doing something youre unsure of and more than likely incapable of doing.
Ermhhh good luck.... Im out.
ETA if you becoem self emplyed it will be interesting to know the approach you might take with any staff employed.
I worked retail at minimum wage, it wasnt tedious, didnt have a clue who was coming up next.0
