Lloyds business bank account experiences please?

Hi

I'm just about to open a lloyds business bank account and have 18 months free business banking. Just wanted to know experiences from lloyds business banking customers and how they found Lloyd's in terms of online business banking, ease of payments from UK and international customers and general experience with their Lloyd's business banking etc?

Chose Lloyd's over Rbs and Barclays hope I made the right decision.

Thanks

I've had one for 6 months and it does what it's supposed to do. The online banking and app are both easy to use. I don't have lot's of payments in and out though and no international customers. I would recommend it from my experience

I use Lloyds for our church (£150k turnover). They have friendly and helpful branch staff and your can speak to business advisers on the 'phone who action things really quickly.

Cannot ask for any more, they have been excellent.

A business partnership I'm part of had a Lloyds account up until 4 years ago.

Nearly all good - internet and counter service worked perfectly most of the time.

But major problem when we had a change in the signatories - they lost the notification forms we'd filled in several times (one time was after doing it all in branch, specifically because they lost the previous forms, and they still lost the new ones, classic).

As a result we effectively lost access to the account for some time - as the signature they said they needed wasn't one we could produce - and they wouldn't discuss it without that signatory being present (and as he had left the partnership that was difficult).

If it had been a significant business it really would have messed things up - but it was just a small seasonal operation, and the problem happened out of season. We went round in circles with them on the phone (business advisor was not helpful with this issue!) and at the counter for some months - eventually getting profuse apologies and refund of monthly fees etc.

Just one of those things probably - and could happen at any bank - but I lost all faith in their paperwork management and their ability to comprehend what had happened.

Business banking now with HSBC and with Yorkshire, not Lloyds!
