Hey everyone, I
have received a parking charge from VEHICLE CONTROL SERVICES LTD for staying in a car park longer than permitted.
I have had one before and ignored it without paying, I did the same with this one but I am now receiving letters from DRP (Debt Recovery Plus Ltd) to inform me of Notice of intended court action.
Will I have to pay this?
Thank you

You only have to pay when ordered to by a court
Read up in the newbies faq thread near the top of the forum on the processes involved before you get to that
You can ignore DRP they are debt collectors0 -
Thank you - I will have a look!
Also - the letter from DRP says that if I don't make arrangements to pay they will pass my file to their client with a recommendation that they take court action against me??The more one gets to know of men, the more one values dogs.0 -
yes , they will , and VCS may well do that, within 6 years
so stop reading DRP or ZENITH letters
now read this after you have read the debt collector post in the NEWBIES sticky thread

and IGNORE drp
(no idea how you missed that ROSSENDALES + DRP thread on page one here)0 -
Thank you - not sure that there was any need to be so rude. I haven't been on here for ages.
Have you seen how many new threads get started here daily?
It's frustrating to have to keep repeating advice given to posters when their specific question has already been answered as yours was!0 -

HI Im new to this forum, Hello everyone hope all is good!!
I have received a parking fine for gong and sitting in my car around the back of my local shell whilst I eat my Big Mac. the town are right next to each other.
I have sent the to them the letter I found on here like this :
As the registered keeper, I have received your parking invoice which of course, I decline your invitation to pay. I wish to invoke your appeals process, since all liability to your company is denied on the following basis: 1) The amount being claimed is not a genuine pre-estimate of loss to your company or the landowner 2) Your signage does not comply with your ATA Code of Practice and was not sufficiently prominent to create any contract 3) You are not the landowner and do not have the standing to offer contracts nor to bring a claim for trespass
I have kept sending them this and now received this letter from the DRP.
The company who issued the ticket are
HX carpark management LTD
who have now passed onto DRP.
Can anyone help me with what I should do next??? thanks
I was only there like ten mins0 -

Your agreement to not hijack other peoples threads should be fresh in your mind then.
Similarly, your agreement to read the Stickies before posting in a forum? - Post Four of the Newbies Sticky will completely explain all about DRP.0
