Credit Card Eligibility Checker

I have an interest free credit card which runs out in March with a £5.7k balance, I did the credit card eligibility checker and got a few which I am 100% eligible for. I am wondering if the credit limit is 100% guaranteed though? (As I don't want to apply for the 0% balance transfer if I cannot transfer the full amount).

No, the credit limit is not guaranteed I'm afraid, when you apply properly for the card you enter the amount you wish to transfer & they will then work out what they are prepared to give you as a starting limit.

Don't turn down an offer just because the limit is lower than desired.

How come? (Sorry this is the first sort of balance transfer I have done) ... Do you think I may get a higher limit in time for March?

Because you will still make savings on whatever balance you BT, and each additional search can start to reduce your chances of acceptance.

Don't make it an all or nothing situation.

OK, I see what you are saying now! You're right, I will just go with this and hopefully manage to reduce the balance ASAP.

I opened 2 BT cards over the weekend so maybe go for 1 and if you don't get enough bang in another straight away.

This sounds risky, but I think it may just work! ... Maybe I will be best to hold off until the weekend do you think?
