Barclaycard Application Referred...

Applied for my first Barclaycard today, and it's been referred. Was just wondering if anyone had an idea of whether it's likely to go through?

I'm 21, have a phone contract in my name and have had interest free credit before for £1000 which was cleared about a year ago. I checked my credit score on a Experian which was 993 out of 999.

I also completed the pre-application check on Barclays which came out at 90% chance of acceptance, so just a little confused as to why it's been referred!

Any advice would be appreciated

There's no way of saying whether you are likely to be accepted or declined. The only positive is if it was a definite no they would have declined straight away. The referrals are usually to check affordability and your credit score combined. You may have a 100% positive score but if you are unable to afford repayments your score means very little.
