Can an email be recovered if it was sent to the deleted box?
I deleted an email (Outlook) not realising I would need it and the box popped up saying if I deleted it from the deleted box it would be permanantly deleted.
Is this true or is there a way I can recover it? Please note I don't see a recovery tab.

Outlook the program, or Outlook the online email service? What domain is your email address? (e.g. Gmail).0

If you sent it to the deleted box it'll still be there. Just go to the Deleted Items folder, find your email, right click on it and select move to inbox. This applies whether you're using the Outlook mail client on your computer or using Outlook email through your web browser.
Only when you go to the deleted items folder, right click on it and select the option to empty folder does it permanently delete them irrecoverably. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
If your computer does regular backups, try doing a system restore and select the backup closest to the date on which you deleted the wanted email - if, for example you deleted it on Jan 15th then select the backup for Jan 14th or the closest one to that date.
This should put all your flies, including the Outlook folders, back to what they were before the email was deleted.
Also note that if you do do this, anything saved AFTER the backup will be lost so if there's anything else you want to keep then put whateveritis on a pen drive or something similar.0 -

Is this true
Yes. Bluntly, that's why the message popped up - to make you aware that you're deleting from the "deleted" folder, and there's no way back from there.
Your only option is as D_M_E said, check any backups to see if you can retrieve it from there. Or maybe if there is a later reply to the email, maybe the original email is further down in the message body.0 -
Thanks for the responces I found it now
