This is probably a silly question, so please bear with me.

As this is an Amazon Credit Card, does this mean that Section 75 would cover any Amazon purchases made on it?

Perfectly reasonable question, and the answer is yes - S75 protection for all purchases over £100, including Amazon purchases. Amazon doesn't issue the card, incidentally (it just has its name on it) so Amazon wouldn't be dealing with the claim.

Website continues to be a nightmare, to the extent that I've given up using the card because the hassle involved in having to log in and download the monthly statement is so frustrating that I just can't be doing with it any more.

had an amazon platinum card for over a year, enjoying 0.5% cashback. this morning received an email stating

From 29 April 2019, you will earn 0.5 Amazon Reward Points for every £2 you spend outside of Amazon.co.uk (compared with the current rate of 1 point for every £2 you spend).

checked amazon marketing page (sorry cant post links) it still shows 1 point for every £2 spent. called customer services at NewDay they have assured me that everyone is affected, the marketing page is out of date.

i guess time to start looking at alternative cards
