HELP - Premier Park "Offer to settle to avoid court proceedings"

OK I'll get the husband to help me out with the pics.
Do I need to reply to this letter they have now sent?
My dilemmas are whether to send them a token £10 or just hope it doesn't go to court? But as the post above has mentioned I was within the 10 minutes I hope I could use that as a defence?0 -

They won't accept £10, and by offering that they will see there is a willingness to pay something so they will ratchet up the pressure to see how they can make you 'break' and cough up the lot.
Unless you are going to pay in full (and no one here would encourage that) then you need to see what their next move is.
You will have a very strong defence ......... if it ever comes to that. Get the photos, get on with your life, see what, if anything, transpires.
In the past 2 years, PP have issued almost 80,000 tickets; in the same period they've attempted just 14 court claims (7 in 2015 and 7 in 2016). By those statistics, you have a 1 in 5,700 chance of receiving court papers. Normally a small-fry operator like PP sue mainly when there are multiple charges outstanding from the same motorist.
http://www.bmpa.eu/companydata/Premier_Park.htmlPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thank you that is reassuring to hear those statistics. I will hold on and wait to see what happens.0

Hi all, so today I received a letter from ZZPS! I'm assuming the best thing is to continue to ignore unless it's from the Court?0

You can safely ignore debt collectors. They have no powers to do anything other than send poor quality bog paper.
The NEWBIES thread explains why it is safe to ignore ALL debt collectors, but not real court papers.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
ZZPS , a poxy debt collector who can only send out letters like that one , IGNORE them (and any other debt collector letter)
if you get a REAL letter (LBC) from a solicitor like Gladstones , or Wright Hassall) , or a REAL MCOL from Northampton Centre, come back for help0 -

Haha thanks guys.0

Yes its amusing but keep all the documentation you receive and as RedX says keep an eye out for that LBC or MCOL and if you get it come back and post here. In the meantime it might be worth getting some evidence right away such as pictures of the site and signage as it is now in the conditions when you parked there (e.g. the same time). You never know you might need it.
And keep all the paperwork to date - don't bin it.0 -
Can i just ask a question regarding signage? If its a very dark car park,at night,no lighting, how on earth are you supposed to read the tiny conditions on the signs that is usually situated at the bottom of the signs?especially if the signs are like 8 ft high.0
