Bits and ends needed doing in flat

Options
I've finally found a guy that has a small team so can do a load of jobs I've putting off till now. I'm based near Manchester. The quote was £520 including materials after a bit of chat and shaking heads etc, I had the impression it was all done on a day rate thing at around £120 per day. Shows how little I know?

Materials were just shy of £200, so labour £320.

Getting done
Radiator removed
Towel rail put nearby (with pipes as the radiator was right next to toilet?!)
Painting some of ceiling
Resealent all round bath
Clean grout off
Fitting of smoke alarm
Fixing light in living room
Replacing spotlight in kitchen
Replacing taps in bathroom
Mount TV on wall
Toilet wouldn't flush properly so sorting that
New bath panel on
Put hooks on door
Knobs on cupboard door
Putting up 2x curtain rails

Assuming all is done correctly I'd say cheap price for all that work but sure someone will say should only cost £50 a sandwich and cup of tea ....

the rate is OK! but honestly why do you even need someone to do all that when you could do it yourself? Sorry if you are disabled/pregnant than of course get someone but if not..

If you earn more working than those working for you it makes financial sense for you to pay them ?
