I just do salad and for those that need more packing, brown bread and butter
  • I'd go for sweet potato chips and/or lots of veggies. Either peas/sweetcorn/runner beans/broccoli would go really well. Or a nice mixture of the lot if it's frozen!

The thought of fish + eggs makes my tummy churn. I don't know. Should they be mixed as a meal?
  • I like fishcakes. I like eggs. But together - urgh
  • Lovely crisp salad and some wedges
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Not had eggs with fishcakes, but they are an ESSENTIAL in fish pie, and if I make smoked haddock florentine we pretty much always have that with a poached egg on top. And in kedgeree!

Thanks everyone, definitely not having them with spuds, so a big plate of salad, peas & carrots I reckon. If OH is starving can do some new spuds for him as well.

We always have greek yoghurt with a little fruit & granola for pudding anyway :)

Classic dish of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs?

I wouldn't have extra potatoes or rice if there are some in the fishcakes.
Instead Id make a large salad with some avocado guac
or lots of veggies like broccoli, califlower, carrots etc
    or a stir fry

Baked beans, yes, salad, yes, both together on the same plate is against the laws of nature. In the same way that one should keep ones peas and sweetcorn entirely separate on the plate never the twain to meet.:)
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Now you are missing a treat. BB and salad/mayo mix is divine :p

Agree with you on the peas/sweetcorn mix, mainly because I don't like sweetcorn.;)
