Never tried CBT but have heard about it and it's benefits. I would really like to try stop the alcohol consumption, but the problem is I am a bit of a wreck without it. At least I usually am very anxious without it going into big events (such as interviews, group meetings etc) so it's nice just to have a little relaxant to help me out a little. Today I applied for some more jobs. I applied for a job at Slug & Lettuce as a kitchen assistant. I also applied to a couple of warehouse jobs which were temp to perm positions, and I also applied to a call centre job which said it required no experience/training given. I am looking to apply for some more jobs this evening. I tend to stay up 'til late because I would rather go to bed late, wake up late rather than wake up early and have the whole day ahead of me. I am usually fine with waking up early, so even if I got a job I wouldn't have problems getting up early. I do sometimes wake up early and go for a run on weekends, but weekdays are too hectic on the roads and I need to get a headlight to be able to see in the dark anyway. I don't really know what kind of hours to do at a charity shop. Would it be best to start with a day a week? I just worry about getting a full time job and then saying to the shop, sorry I can't work no more. Would that be a problem or no?

If you are going to continue to drink before interviews then you'll struggle to get employment

It's not a relaxant. You need to get support for the anxiety. Not rely on alcohol

Trust me, if you rely on alcohol as a relaxant, you'll be even more of a wreck as time goes by.
