    The car failed its MOT on Tyres (less than 1.6mm)

    Go and thank the MOT man for saving you from three points and a fine for your illegal tyres. I'm intrigued to now how you didn't actually notice them before agreeing the deal to purchase the car.

    All 4 tyres are being replaced as they are a proper mix n match. I prefer 4 tyres the same, just over £220 in total fitted for Continentals.

    We planned to give the car a once over again before collection and paying the remainder.

    A test drive is a test drive, it's up to the dealer to ensure its fit and I doubt police would stop you anyhow.

    It is ALWAYS the driver's legal responsibility to ensure the car is legal. If you're driving, it would be your licence getting the points, not theirs.
