Oooo little update, just spoke to the marketing team that make it - the decision was made last week to discontinue as they can't procure one of the ingredients. They are considering changing the formula slightly to account for the loss of ingredient, but she said that may take years rather than weeks.
Apparently there are a LOT of disappointed people ringing in still trying to find it

It tasted disgusting but it always worked for me.
Now that this product has been discontinued, has anyone found an equally effective (ideally less disgusting-tasting) medicine for coughs?0 -

I found this discussion took place over a year ago, but after a bout of the Flu virus that's doing the rounds, I'm on the last few drops of the bottle I had. I've been round 5 different chemists today and they either don't recognise it or say that they have been having trouble getting hold of it. Did the info given previously by the manufacturer turn out to be optimistic? Can anyone assist?0

No I'm sorry I didn't see your update amongst all the others saying it hasn't been discontinued, you can get it on prescription. I should have tried to read them a bit more carefully.
