Flight/Car Hire/Hotel Package through Agent (ATOL/ABTA)- Pay by Debit or Credit Card?

Hello. Sorry I'm sure this has been asked many times before. Planning a long trip which we would normally book ourselves via the usual direct sites but this time we are electing to go through a travel company. They are ATOL and ABTA covered. Normally I would pay by credit card to get that extra coverage incase they go bust, but given the agent will no doubt charge 2% for using the credit card should I just use my debit card and rely on ATOL/ABTA incase of problems?

You don't have to pay the whole holiday on a credit card to be covered, just a proportion, say £100, then pay the rest on your debit card.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
