TV Broken - can I get any money for it?

  • If its a LCD or plasma diagnose it and fix it for less than £30. Majority of the time capacitors pop or faulty logic board.

I have a 10 year old LCD TV and 6 years ago replaced the power supply for £25.

eBay or Gumtree as "For parts or not working"
IMO, forget ebay and stick to Gumtree & local adverts.

One problem with ebay is that it's not unheard of for someone to buy an item with the intention of repairing it then when they find out that it's too expensive or uneconomical to do, they open a dispute claiming that it had more faults than described.
In theory they shouldn't win if the set was clearly described as not working but in reality this isn't always the case.
