New to contents insurance

Currently i really have no need for contents insurance but we are buying a flat and will be buying everything new.

Where can the best deals be found and what is the average price?

Perhaps trying a comparison site first, putting all estimates of goods being bought and add that to the total cover you need and input total.

Contents insurance cost usually depends of value of your belongings lost to cover theft, fire etc

And look at the cashback sites for any cashback from the companies on your shortlist.

  • Put your info into websites like confused, money supermarket and go compare.

Also try Aviva and Direct Line as they are on these sites.

Once you've found a good price, check topcashback and quidco to see if you can get anything off it.

Personally, I used Quidco and bought contents cover from "British Gas" which was underwritten by Axa, and is only £5 p/m with £35 cash back.

Sometimes cashback is better if you combine your building insurance with contents?
