how to fit a new kitchen

I am buying a flat an want a new kitchen fitted and a built in cupboard knocked down.

Where do i buy the kitchen find someone to fit it and get the cupboard knocked down - i am floundering!

Any tips would really be appreciated where to start here

Firstly, where are you based? Somebody maybe able to recommend someone.


I'm assuming the cupboard you want knocked down is an old brick built one? If so it will need making good etc. You may wish to get a builder involved who will have access to all trades (electricians, plumbers, carpenters, plasterers etc). You may be better letting him get the kitchen for you from say Howdens or Magnet Trade. He will get a much better price than you will ever get!!

This is what i though would be the best way - but is there a best way to find a good builder.

Being a complete novice i not sure how i would know if they were good or not.

I will have an ask of people i know if people can recommend as your advice sounds good - thank you
