Yes I do think stress has a big part to play in how well or not we feed ourselves:(
I totally agree. Which is probably why I'm skipping lunch again. If I'm stressed, I lose what little appetite I had to start with.

On the subject of meat - I can't touch it, or fish, in any way shape or form. One of my little canine guests who stayed with me for just a weekend, brought with her two little packets of raw mince, to be cooked for her dinners.:eek::eek: Thankfully, Mr LW stepped up to the plate and cooked them, or I honestly don't know how I'd have coped. I had no prior warning that this was going to happen!

Older dd made me promise to be proactive and make sure I got my review appointment at the hospital as they still have my old address and I don't want the letter to go astray. I made a couple of phone calls over the last two days and think it is now sorted out.

I have been getting into a habit of just grabbing junk food so decided to re join SW and also make sure I get at least five portions of fruit and veg a day.

So far have had low fat bacon rashers, one egg and lots of cherry tomatoes for breakfast as well as two clementines and three nectarines. Lean chicken is defrosting and I will have that tonight with some roast vegetables.

Hoping that filling myself up with fruit and veg will make me less likely to grab cake, biscuits and crisps as I had enough rubbish yesterday to last for a week!:o

I grabbed some stuff that needed to be used/eaten and made something up that would've been great if the quantities had been "planned" instead of using the quantities available.... but it did taste nice.

Spaghetti, tomato juice, onion, sausagemeat cut into chunks.

That's a good contribution to clearing the freezer of things likely to lurk for months if I didn't proactively use them.

I am a meat eater, but can take it or leave it, especially as I have no choice when visting the "kids" with full on veggie households, but I have weaned two of the Gkids onto bacon butties when out with Granddad, allowed by parents I should add, the parents would rather the GK made their own minds up on the matter & not feel guilty for choosing meat if they like it

Not too squeemish about preparing meat / fish either, I buy fresh fish heads & all, but do ask them to gut it for me, not that I cannot do it, just not 100% sure how

Skipped breakfast again, but one shortcake, dunked it the coffeee of course, and an Oreo at Age Concern put that right

Lunch was bacon & brown sauce bap, not as nice as it sounds, the bap was a bit stale TBH, pack of 6 on Sunday, looks like I have 4 more getting staler baps to go during the week. I could freeze them but space is a problem, and it was only 50p for 6 so even if I feed them to the birds it is not a big loss in my life

Nice and spring like today, did a bit of garden tidying already as rain is forecast. The forecast sort of decided my dinner

One LO from May 2015 roast chicken chest, with remains of the fresh cauli, carrots, parsnips, YS 20p white cabbage from January, looking abit iffy now but guess I can find some edible bits in there, and new fresh brocc, all including the chick chest [in tin foil] will be steamed. Looks healthy and 5/10 for veg

The half of fresh pineapple is still hanging on in the fridge, nearly got used yesterday, but was elbowed aside by 2 doughnuts and half an apple pie, and custard :o

Spent about 3 hours feeling very sick in the middle of the night, but wasn't...I very rarely am! I then eventually slept for an hour until my alarm went off. Feeling ok now, just very tired.

Just had a banana, a slice of bread and butter and coffees with milk so far today.

No idea what's cooking tonight, I will think about it later...think I need a lie down.

Glad you feel a bit better, awful when feeling sick and can't be. I much prefer it when it gets out, at least it is then done & dusted

I have been very pro-active today and cleared out my food stocks. Daughters now have large bags full each, waiting in the hall. All old cooking sauce mixes are out in the bin as well as other stuff and I am down to basics but still have a lot, tinned beans of all sorts and several jars of peanut butter to mention a few. Key to me eating well is knowing what I have in and I have too much pasta and rice for starters

Two hm ready meals will have been eaten today, mutton at lunch time and turkey later. They don`t contain much meat and I would class them as small meals. I have been very busy clearing, no time to cook. Back onto food prep tomorrow, I owe myself a nice pot of veg soup and perhaps will make some dahl

    Random CFO mix this evening.

Scrambled eggs with sprouts, broccoli, cabbage and mushrooms...followed by x3 slices of wholemeal toast with butter and cheese triangles on and a cup of tea.

I'm sure more toast will be consumed soon too :o

I'm on edge as my neighbours are home and banging cupboard doors etc...I think I might just move :(

    Evening Onsters

Catching up after a few long days of work (shame it gets in way of my cooking adventures really :D)

Total sleep in that last 2 nights has been circa 5 hours  nothing to do with noise though thank goodness (Karcher Im sorry its happening again this week ...hope you have your diary ready to record it ) Hoping my brain is going to calm down tonight and allow a normal amount of sleep as I really dont want to see 4 am again....for a start off the telly is awful :rotfl: I had a new project at work this week and it means as soon as the lights go out my brain starts chattering :(:(

Anyway food wise ....yesterday I went to my neighbours daughters 21st birthday which featured lots of sushi ...fortunately I seemed to be the only one who liked it so filled my boots. A couple of cup cakes and a few wines later and wobbled home :)
Today my stomach was convinced my throat had been cut ...probably because I am awake 2 days to everyone elses one at the moment  Anyway conveniently next door to the office I was working in was a Maccy'ds and it just had to be done :)

Tonight Im still pretty full from lunch but probably have the cooking for one staple ...toast

Hope you all have a peaceful night and enjoy whatever it is you decide you cook for yourself :D
