My son wrote my car off just before Christmas. He was driving home from his girlfriends in the early hours and swerved to avoid a deer. He drove through a ditch. Tried to get the car home but realised it wasn't safe so parked it up and called a taxi.
The insurance company are now querying my driving licence. It turns out it was revoked in 2012. I have no knowledge of this and have no idea as to why. Talking to the DVLA they've said it's because they wrote to me and I didn't reply. They can't tell me what it was about and I have no recollection of any letter. My licence has had no blips on it since 2007 when i had a speeding fine when i was trying to get to the hospital before visiting time ended when my grandson was born.
I've checked my driving licence record online and it comes up as clean. The insurance company want me to provide a reason for the revokation and proof that my licence was valid when the accident happened. I can't and the DVLA can't either. Has anyone else come up with this problem and if so did they resolve it?

No. That's the problem with my son's licence and that has been addressed. It's my licence that is the problem and I've lived in the same house for 22 years.I prefer rogues to imbeciles, they sometimes take a rest (Alexander Dumas)0
