How to proceed

Ok, I've read the parking for begginers bit, but I'm not sure how to proceed as my case is a bit different.
2 days ago I received a letter from DRP debt recovery plus demanding £160 for a parking at the peel centre stockport on the 21/9/16, which is nearly 4 months ago. It basically threatens court if I do not pay, basically hinting although not confirming that they have sent me letters before, although I have never received any previous demand for payment.
I think the reason I might not have received previous demands is that I lease my vehicle and although I am the registered keeper, I am not the owner and as such any demands parking tickets etc are usually sent to the lease company first who then provide my name as the keeper.
I'm a bit shocked at a £160 charge to say the least.
Which way should I approach defending myself against this?
Thanks

read the newbies sticky thread again , and read about IGNORING debt collectors
and read this debt collector thread too

if EXCEL or BW LEGAL decide to write to you with an LBC or if you get an MCOL from Northampton in the next 6 years , post back in this thread
but you can "normally" IGNORE drp , they are powerless and you cannot "defend" yourself unless an MCOL is issued0 -
I would normally say ignore DRP but in fact as you have received nothing, I would email them just to ask for the paperwork prior to this and the photos:
info@drpl.co.uk
DO NOT say or imply who was driving. Do not talk about £160 being extortionate nor write anything like an 'appeal'.
The purpose is to tell DRP that you are merely the lessee of this car and this is the first you know of it so they will need to revert to their client and show you the letters, photos and explain why no paperwork was sent to you, not least a 'Notice to keeper'.
In any email to DRP you MUST put their ref (which is not the PCN number) in the subject line.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
