Debt recovery plus HELP!!!

Back in August I parked in a Morrisons car park, thought nothing of it.
Fast forward to November and I receive a letter telling me I have £150 fine and if I don't appeal I'm going to court. I got the letter on 4th December and the letter stated I had until the 6th to respond! I used one of the templates from MSE website to respond and had it in the post the next day. As they hadn't physically proved it was my car with photographic evidence I said I would serve no further correspondence until they met my requirements and proved I overstayed.
I got a letter back that didn't meet my requirements and also told me I didn't respond in time to appeal??!!!
Firstly, I never received 2 'warning' letters before the court threat and secondly, it's not my fault that the letter with the fine came to me three weeks after it was written!
My question is what do I do now? The debt collection company are called Debt Recovery Plus Ltd.
I don't have the receipt from my shopping day as it was such a long time ago, therefore no proof.
I have until 18th to pay £150 so do I ignore? Do I pay? Do I stand my ground?
Anyone had experience with this company?

yep, thousands of people , IGNORE drp, they are powerless
now please read this https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5035663
and read the debt collector post in the NEWBIES sticky thread
then IGNORE drp (or zenith , or any other debt collector)
come back if you get an LBC from the PPC or their solicitors , or a genuine MCOL from Northampton
thank you
ps:- complain to Morrissons head office (DAVID POTTS - CEO) and get it cancelled0 -

IGNORE DRP AND NEVER CONTACT THEM.0 -
I'm just concerned they will send out people to my camp. I will be in big trouble with the army if they turn up at the guard room one day asking for money from me!
So pretty much ignore them?
I emailed Morrisons today after receiving the letter but not sure how much good it will do.
I did however say "I am now afraid to be a customer at Morrisons incase I get another parking fine" so hope that might make them over turn it.0 -
The debt collectors aren't going to turn up if that's what you mean.
If you fear bailiffs, then they would only come into the picture if you were given a CCJ by a court and ignored it.
(If contacting morrisons was a waste of time you wouldn't have been advised to do so!)0 -
Which parking company is involved here? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
