Handbag Insurance

Hi guys,
I am planning on making a pretty big purchase of my first high-end designer handbag. The bag is set to cost about £1000 and I know I will guard it with my life. That said, I think I would rest easier having it insured. Does anyone have any recommendations that aren't necessarily house insurance and will cover me for all possibilities - loss, theft, damage etc.
Thanks in advance!

Pretty much just house insurance really. Can't think of any alternatives although someone else might.
Just make sure it's declared on the policy and your "possessions outside the home" limit is high enough.
Is there any specific reason you can't/won't use house insurance?0 -
Check the excess is OK for you, make sure you keep proof of purchase (photo of the item never hurts) and read the policy terms around your responsibilities (e.g. usually you can't / don't leave it on the front seat of your car when parked or on the bed in your hotel room when you go out) etc.I am just thinking out loud - nothing I say should be relied upon!
I do however reserve the right to be correct by accident.0
