STopped for 25 seconds and got a ticket

Hi wonder if someone could help ?

My farther received a parking ticket for stopping for 25 seconds.

He had a fair who worked in an airport, he was instructed to go into the airport but noticed that he was unable to go any further as the entrance he was taken was for airport taxi only and told the passanger he would have to turn around and she said she would get out and just walk. He was stopped for like 25 seconds to do his 3 point turn and was not parked up.

He received a ticket for £60 if paid in 14 days or £100 after.

Can they do this ? just for 25 seconds ? He only stopped as he had to read teh sign which states airport taxi only.

He has just appealed today stating those facts but im doubtful they will overturn.

any advice would be appreciated.

Start by reading the NEWBIES thread then appeal using the template letter you will find there.

What was the name of the parking company? This will determine which template you need to send, and what to do afterwards.

so read all the previous threads on the same topic at the same airport and follow the same advice (byelaws apply , not parking rules) , stick to 2016/2017 threads only though

do not name the OWNER (or driver) in any correspondence

NEVER speak to UKPPO on the phone

send the IPC template letter from the NEWBIES sticky thread , as KEEPER (from the keeper named on the pcn)

So you only need search the forum for 'UKPPO Newcastle' and read recent threads from when they have been in the IPC (don't read old stuff about POPLA appeals from when they were in the BPA). We had a Newcastle Airport thread only recently and you will easily find it when you search.
