you will find posts covering this on the Pet and Petcare thread.

Petplan are the Rolls Royce of companies but they are more expensive. Cheap policies often have restrictions or wiggle out of paying.

Petplan and Coop state that they will not increase premiums because you make a claim. Many others do . All increase the premium due to increased running costs and overall claims.

A friend is happy with insurance form Morethan bought through the website Bought by Many https://boughtbymany.com/ who negotiate a cheaper quote due to many buying.

Whoever he insures with do get a Lifetime policy so cover is reinstated each year, even if you claim. Some cheaper policies limit the amount you can claim or limit claims to 12 months. Both can leave you short of funds for an ongoing condition.

Avoid any connected to E&L - check underwriters, Animal Friends also get mixed reviews because of refusing claims.

Read the PolicyDocument - not just the summary- carefully to know exactly what you are covered for.

Also do not delay getting insurance. the first 10-14 days of the policy are usually not covered and any condition showing symptoms before the policy is in operation will be excluded from cover.
