ok here goes.
i paid amazon for a laptop pc £378.44 my credit card company said they paid this to amazon who then deducted/retained 7% + (approx £28) then passed remaining onto the seller.
If I had paid an amount/portion/deposit to anyone else I would be covered for the whole amount so I understand. Why is this any different ,amazon have received money from my payment as any one I may have paid money to in the way of a deposit would be covered under section 75?
But I am told by my credit card company I do not have section 75 protection??

  • You've not purchased directly from Amazon.

    So section 75 doesn't apply.

You are not covered for s75 because you paid an intermediary and not the seller directly in the same way as purchasing on Ebay and using Paypal is not covered. What problem do you have with the purchase ?
