    Thank you first time mover that is a really helpful account of the process.

    Our paper work is all at the council so fingers crossed we hear a decision soon.

  • The other thing that I forgot to add is to check you are happy with any restrictions on usage. I presume it is pretty standard to ensure the property is used as your main residence, we weren't able to rent out the property, which might be a consideration if your situation changes further down the line.

    Thanks will make sure we check everything out, no plans to rent it out in the future, I like the idea that if we sell it goes to another person who needs a help to own their own home x
  • Recently a property was viewed on same sort of scheme with 70% share, we like the property and were thinking of moving ahead with our interest and as many mentioned in the thread there isn't a lot of information out there and not that many solicitors know how this scheme works or what sort of paper work requirement needs to be completed etc. Can you suggest some solicitors who know or can deal dms scheme? help is greatly appreciated.
