Barclays/Apple rejection - how long to wait until applying again?

Hi All
Four months ago I applied for an iPhone under Apple's new iPhone programme (provided by Barclays finance,) but was rejected as I hadn't realised my new address wasn't yet on the electoral roll.
I thought my credit score was excellent, however it turned out my recent change of address coupled with the fact I wasn't yet on the electoral roll as they were in a period of updating their lists, meant it was actually 'poor.'
My details are finally on the electoral roll under my new address and my Experian score is now 'good.'
How long should I leave it before re-applying? Gut instinct tells me I should wait until the search has disappeared - but I could really do with a new phone now as mine is on the way out.
Anyone got any experience of this before?

Can't you just get a cheap phone from Argos etc., to tide you over. If you leave it another two months before reapplying, the search should have dropped of your report.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0

If you mean wait until the credit search has dropped off your credit report, that's now 12 months. We keep a record of all searches for 12 months. This allows lenders to take account of previous credit searches when you apply for credit. Whether or not an application was successful is not recorded and all lenders know this. Keeping searches also means that we can tell companies who have searched a report in the past six months if we make any changes to it.
However it's likely that Barclays will keep a record of your application and may refer to that if you re-apply.
Usually, 6 months after a rejection to re-apply for most lenders.0 -

Unfortunately not very practical. I work in the media and use my phone for work purposes so need email, good quality camera and video, too.
Think you're right about leaving it two months though - just hope my current iPhone survives! :rotfl:0 -

All very frustrating - I'd added myself to the electoral roll the same day I moved into the new property. They didn't tell me how long I'd take to be registered at my new address on the central list (which was way over two or three months)0
