Have been using Aperture since launch but need to upgrade so was thinking about Lightroom.
Where's the best place to get a standalone copy rather than a CC version?
Thanks

Some people shoplift too but that doesn't make it right!
OP, a thirty day trial of all of the earlier versions are available to download from Adobe. If you find that, say, Lightroom 3 is adequate for your needs you can sometime pick up a sealed copy very cheaply on eBay or Amazon.0 -
If I remember correctly the standalone version does not get all the features that CC does straight away. I think 'dehaze' is a case in point.
I fully understand the desire to have a standalone copy. However with some quick research it's easy to find a promo that will give a decent discount (I got 20%) on CC. I think that it's a great deal for LR and full Photoshop.0 -

I agree it is very good value but it is possible the OP is using an elderly machine. That is what I inferred from their initial post saying they were still using Aperture - but I may be wrong.0
