Karndean or Distinctive Flooring?

Options
We're having new flooring in our bathroom. We will have either Karndean Opus or Distinctive Flooring Italian. Both are the same thickness and wear layer. Just wondered if either was better than the other or if they are pretty similar. Can find lots of reviews on Karndean but very little on Distinctive Flooring.

Thanks.

We have Karndean in the kitchen/utililty/cloakroom (10 years) and in both bathrooms (6 years). Still absolutely perfect. Jen22s problems may be due to a dodgy fitter rather than the product?

Thank you - the majority of reviews I have seen for Karndean have been good. I just haven't seen any for Distinctive Flooring even though they do supply many independent retailers.
  • Another happy Karndean customer here. Have used it in several houses (four bathrooms and one kitchen) and never experienced any bubbling issues :p

I understand that Karndean fitters have to go through rigorous training by Karndean before they are allowed to fit it. that's what my fitter said.

I didn't stand over him whilst fitting, (dining room floor) but wandered in a couple of times, I was very impressed with the amount of prep they have to do before fitting. Mine's done with an edging and the centre is laid out diagonally.

Yep, another happy Karndean customer here (old house in the bathroom). Its the quality of the fitting that is important as with any floor of this nature.
  • my karndean still looks nice after 8 years.
  • Thanks for all your comments - the majority of people do seem happy with Karndean which is what I had found when doing my research. Shop we are buying from had Distinctive Flooring down and that also looked fine but haven't yet found anyone who has had it in their home.
