Moved house and cannot get accepted

Hi there,
Bought a property back in October, contacted council and on the electoral register as of December 1st.
If I run my details through a comparison site or on an eligibility checker, citing 4 months as owner of current property, and previous address I was at for 3 years, I get declines or sorry we can't quote you etc. If I put myself as resident in my previous property for 3 years, I get accepted for everything no problems.
Any ideas? Does it take a certain amount of time before the credit agencies can see me at my current property? Also, if I can get approved for something at my old property but not my new one, couldn't I just apply with my old address and then ask them to send me whatever it is to my new address? Realise that sounds dodgy, but it seems that only having 4 months in one place makes me a risk, despite 3 years clean at the previous one!
TIA!
Added - I have checked my report and it shows my new address!

Maybe it's because your not on the electoral register yet which can take some time. Last time I moved I added myself to the register near end of November and they didn't update untill Feb!
It's never easy to get credit when you have just moved I can tell you that from experience!0
